The Eye Opener

The Eye Opener is a beloved, independent coffee shop nestled in Niwot, Colorado. Originally founded in 1998, the café sought a fresh, modern identity to reflect its vibrant community presence and high-quality coffee offerings. The goal was to create a logo that was sleek, simple, and timeless—something that would appeal to both long-time locals and newcomers alike, while still capturing the essence of their artisanal, specialty brews.

In reimagining their brand, I focused on clean lines, contemporary typography, and a fresh color palette that blends warmth with modernity. The new logo retains a sense of nostalgia from the original design, while also connecting to the shop's current environment, including its distinctive brick wall storefront. The result is a logo that communicates both approachability and sophistication, aligning perfectly with The Eye Opener’s philosophy of providing exceptional coffee in a welcoming space.
